Wangetti Organisation - dedicated to the conservation of the greater Wangetti area
Welcome to the Wangetti Organisation (Wangetti Org) website, which aims to showcase the natural beauty of the Wangetti Region, while promoting the highest values of conservation and rehabilitation.
The site is a work in progress but we aim to add content to at least one page each week, until it is complete.
All images on the site have captions - to view the caption, hover mouse over image (for those using a touchscreen only, such as a tablet or smartphone, long touch an image to bring up a download option, which will have the image name/title). Click on an image for a larger version (available for most images).

In case you were wondering, the scene at the top of the page is actually what the "Gatz Balancing Rocks" beach used to look like before it was worked over by the rock stackers.

Looking for adventure? You may want to visit the famous "Hartleys Crocodile Adventures", the only one of its kind within the Wet Tropics World Heritage Region.
Wangetti is home to the world famous "Rex Lookout", the view from which is the most photographed in Far North Queensland.
Situated at the end of a 3.7km NP forest trail is the secluded "Hartleys Creek Falls" and water hole, a refreshing end to a long, forest walk.
Please.....no camping in the Wangetti Beach Reserve (East of the Captain Cook Hwy) and no vehicles beyond the carparks..... Thank you.
